The first one, from culturaldiversity, from Canada, shows us the Vancouver harbour lighthouse. It belongs to the lighthouse RR.

This came from Brazil and took ages to get here, it was sent by Savissivik, from Versus RR, and shows us the old station of São Paulo, that is the house of one of the best music halls of South America.

As they are one of my favourite themes, I decided to restart a RR about it. I am happy to say that it´s going well, so well that there are 6 groups on the way. And as a good host I started the first group ;). These are the cards from it.

The first one came from UK, was sent by W105akaMoke and shows some castles of Suffolk, the one on the right is Orford, and the ones in the left are Framlingham and Bigod.

This was sent by ferro, a portuguese girl living in Belgium, her card shows a beautiful castle of Antwerpen.

This last one came from Estonia. Sirelid sent it and says that the Tallinn Castle is now the house of the Estonian Parliament.

This one shows us the temple of Tmad-ud-Daula, from the Taj Mahal complex.

This last one shows the Lamayuru Monastery in Ladakh.

This week I received three cards from three different RR´s.

This first one belongs to Portuguese RR - Lighthouses and was sent by Vbformig from Brazil. It took ages to get here, Valéria posted it in the 29th November!

This second one belongs to Slavic Countries RR - group 34 - and was sent by Newrule from Malaysia.

The last one came from very near. from Lisboa. It belongs to Versus RR - group 3 - and was sent by Tanea. A beautiful night view of Santa Justa elevator. It was designed by Mr Eiffel, the same one from Paris ;)

Official cards of the week

This week I received 5 official cards. All from different countries with some surprises.

This first one, FI-445448, came from Finland and was sent by Anitta. It´s a painting by Kaj Stenvall, the "Good Afternoon, Sir" from 2007.

This second one, IT-32464, came from Italy. Was sent by bracciodiferro, and shows an aerial view of Verona, with the Castle of Scaligero.

Now, TR-14048, sent by SECRET, shows several views of Izmir. I didn´t receive a card from Turkey for sometime so I was really happy with this one.

US-314096, was sent by MissCristin, from USA. Shows a beautiful view of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, an Unesco site.

This last one came from Switzerland. It´s a hand-made card, not quite the type I use to publish here but CH-23186 it´s a photo taken by Greenblue and shows a beautiful place. I asked Sabrine to send me more information about the place. If she will I´ll post it here.

This first card is a Thank You card from BobM, Canada, for an official one that I sent him some time ago.

This second one is from Petra, Jordan, A private swap with Suvi ivus from Finland. Petra is an Unesco site since 1985.
These last cards were sent by Sandy Shaneez. I was afraid that they were lost in the mail like the first ones she sent me. But fortunely they arrived after almost a month travelling. The first card shows Robben Island, Unesco site since 1999.

It´s been a hard week and I received a lot of new cards but there was no time to blog them. So there they´re are:

I´ll start with one from Italy, IT-31388, sent by Francesco Frapi1, it shows the Trulli of Alberobello, one italian Unesco site since 1996.

This second one came from the Czech Republic and it´s one of my favourites. It shows the city of Praga in a Winter night. CZ-19236 was sent by Marie Kalaa.

This one was sent by dandywalkermomma from the USA, US-304829, was a blank card with only the address and the ID. So sad... It shows a memorial to the militaries of the US Air Force who received the Medal of Honor.

DE-254943 came from Germany, Alexander Arcon sent it and it was signed by other four postcrossers that made a Christmas meeting in Köln.

This one is also from Germany, DE-258001 was sent by Wilhelm Willi and shows a beautiful lighthouse.

Another one from Germany, DE-257933, sent by Karl gphonig40, shows several monuments from Köln. The cathedral is an Unesco site since 1996.

This last one , DE-25800, also from Germany, was this time sent to my kid. He´s a postcrosser too :). Anke xtlera sent him a beautiful winter landscape.

Surprises and swaps of the week

This last week I received a surprise card from Lurdes, it was sent with a Xmas card that I´ll show later. It is a very cool card because it shows all the nine islands of Azores.

This second one was sent by Carla, she went to Salamanca a few days ago and bought this beautiful card the shows the "Ayuntamiento" building in Plaza Mayor, the university, the "Casa das Conchas" and the old and new Cathedrals. Salamanca old town is a unesco place since 1988.

This last one was sent by Mari marilavado and shows the old circus in the old roman city of Tarraco, the actual Tarragona in Spain. The old ruins of tarraco are an Unesco site since 2000.

Slavic Countries RR

This first one was sent by Alena MILAGROS and shows the Sun Fountain in Peterhof.

This one one was sent from Russia, too, but it´s from Lena Heleness and shows the Smolenski Cathedral of Novodevitchi Monastery, one Unesco russian site.

This one came from Japan, was sent by Rie xli. It shows one of the Kyoto temples, also an Unesco site in Japan.

This last one came from Estonia. Was sent by Janek ulvikaru, and shows the Kiipsaare Lighthouse in Saaremaa Island, the biggest one of Estonia.

Christmas Cards

Though I don´t usually post here other kind of postcards but the touristc , I decided to make an exception of Christmas postcards because these are special;)

Let me begin by an official sent by the Tuittu66, FI - 431073. The stars are bright but it does not shows here.

The following is also an official, U.S. -301042 and was sent by esotericknitter.

Now I´ll show the cards that were sent by a two colleagues from Surprise Project Group of Flickr. This first is from Bea, the administrator of the group. The postcard has the peculiarity to be possible to hang it on a Christmas tree.

The next were both sent by Juha, Elorju2000. I must say that I loved the surprise that even leave me without words.

This second card the wooden figurines are cut and pasted into cardboard, as well as cotton. This card was made by Juha.

Now, finally, I show the ones that I received from my postcrossers friends, from Portugal .

These cards are the last ones from two different RR´s.

This first one is from Portugal x Portugal RR. it was sent by Tanea, and shows the Eduardo VII Park in Lisbon.

This one was sent by MaHaKo, from Finland. Is was signed by all the postcrossers presents at a meeting in Helsinki.

The first group is : countries with stars on the flag x countries with green on the flag. I´m on the greeen part ;).

Surprise

This card was sent by rita_simões, for the RR Portugal x Portugal. We live quite near so she thought it would be nicer to send a card from another place than Sintra :) And she sent a card from Assisi, one Unesco place that was missing in my collection. We can see a panoramic view of the city with the St. Rufinus and St. Claire churches.

This is completely unusual: these cards didn´t arrive at my mailbox. But they´re so special to me that I decided to share them with you. The first ones were an offer of my special friend Ana. I usually support her at her mountain bikes trips and she support my postcards tours :)

The next ones were bought by me in Sagres, during a Mountain Bike trip: my husband Ricardo, Ana and her boyfriend Nuno and some others were doing their crazy trip and I was wainting for them in Sagres, with the car to take them to the place where we were spending the weekend. These cards were so amazing that I couldn´t resist to keep ones for myself.

I received the last card from the RR Portugal x Russia. It was sent by Natalie natuzzi. It shows a beautiful night view of Saint Petersburg. We can see the Neva river, with the Trinity Bridge and Peter and Paul Fortress at the back.

Lighthouse

Once again I joined a lighthouse RR. This is the first card. It was sent by Sarip63 from Finland. It shows the Gustavsvärn Lighthouse. It was bult in 1951 and is 11m high. In the island there´s also some ruins from fortifications built in 1789 that have been destroyed in the Crimean war.

This week I received a card from a a new country: Serbia. This card was a lottery prize for guessing the name of the baby girl of Berislav Buberis. It shows the building of gimnasium in Subotica. The building was built at the end of the XIXth century and it´s one of the most beautiful buildings of Subotica.

Switzerland

Today I received only one card. It came from Switzerland and took only two days to arrive! It was sent by Jutta PaulaB, and is the last one from the RR Portugal x Switzerland. It shows the Benedictine Convent of St. John at Müstair. It has Switzerland´s greatest series of murals.

Argentina!

Today I received a huge surprise!! An official card from Argentina! It is a huge surprise because it´s from a rare country in Postcrossing (its ID is AR-734) and because I already have more received than sent cards, I guess it´s due to the expired ones. It was sent by leo_argentino and it shows the 9th of July Avenue.

Unesco from Switzerland

Today I received a card from Andy masito. It came from the RR Portugal X Switzerland. Andy is a really nice guy and sent me a card from one UNESCO place :) The cards shows the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch.

China and Switzerland

Today I received a postcard from China, a new UNESCO site.It was sent by zhuangyt, through a private swap. It shows Baofeng Lake, that is part of "Wulingyuan Scenery and Historic Interest Area", classified since 1992. A natural area of an extraordinary beauty and home of some endangered animal and plants species.

I received too a beautiful multiviews card from Switzerland. It was sent by Grace azurri. We´re both part of a RR Portugal X Switzerland. It shows some typical swiss pictures.

The first post

Hello. This is my first post in english, but I already have a blog written in portuguese, so I´ll start for one recent and special card. It was sent by anagahan from Macedonia. Besides it cames from a special country, it´s also a Unesco site, the only one there.

From now on, I´ll post the cards that I receive, at the same time that in my portuguese blog. That way, no one misses anything :)
